For those of you in the 242 that have not done so already, you need to check out and support EMANJI CIRCUS ARTS, the "First Bahamian Circus". I have had the distinct pleasure of going to two of their shows "Green" and "Odruda 2". Their performances were both absolutely thrilling and exciting to watch. The performances are based on the European style of acts of human ability, dexterity and bravery and showcases their talents in: Juggling, Still Object and Live Person Balancing, Silk Cloth, Lyra, Single, Double and Triple Trapeze, Dancing Trapeze, Fire Apparatuses - Fans, Staff, Pois etc., Spanish Web, Contortion, Chinese Pole, Tumbling and Acrobatics, Tap Dancing, Tight Rope Walking, Rola Bola and so much more! They provide repertoire shows, variety shows, and even single performances that can be showcased indoor or outdoors.
Emanji Circus Arts started in 2002 as a one-man act featuring Jarvis Grant, an experienced circus performer who has an extensive background in performing and training. Emanji Circus Arts is currently comprised of a cast of
twenty-five young Bahamian artists between the ages of 14 and 37, all born,
raised and trained in The Bahamas.
